 凌晨四点，闹钟准时鸣叫，打开电视，绝对不能错过历史的这一时刻，Katie Couric在NBC's Today的最后一期，这位相伴美国人民15年的早间新闻节目主播，在此之后将会到CBS主持晚间新闻节目，好像还是美国首次由女主播独挑此项重担。
 
还好这个节目只相伴了我不到4天，要不我这小身子骨可是受不了。在他们对Katie表达Farewell的同时，我也在庆祝她的离开，终于没有借口睡这么晚或起这么早了。喜欢一个人来的真是那么突然，记得刚开始看她主持，第一印象就觉得定是个女强人，典型的女主播，看着节目中间不是插播她这些年来的主持片断，包括11/9那天她和同事一起看着双塔倒下......其中的一节可能给了我欣赏她的理由，那节主要表现的她幽默的一面，看着她在台上高歌，美国偶像的尖酸评判Simon坐在台下直捂耳朵，嗯，这就是我欣赏的女生，对事业认真，又不失幽默感。
 
节目期间，让我了解了Katie的一些经历，他的搭档提到他们一起走过的日子了，共同度过了很多艰难的时刻，一起哭过，笑过，已经不只是工作伙伴那么简单，而是一生的朋友。Katie所面临的最艰难的时刻是在1998年的时候她的丈夫患癌症去世，只有42岁。自此之后，Katie更关注与对医学方面的报道，亲历亲为，几次扮演病患的角色去让大众了解真实的诊断过程，有一次还吞了个微型照相机，呵呵，挺逗......所以最后一期的节目里还安排了好多因为看Katie的节目而及时去做身体检查的癌症康复患者向Katie送上祝福。在工作中，Katie总能带个大家欢笑，使工作间好像每一天都在过圣诞一样，同事们把她当作工作中的榜样，生活中的挚友......唉，不过整个节目的气氛还是比较轻松愉悦的，穿插着现场表演，天气预报，新闻播报，现场还请来了Katie的父母，两个女儿等亲友作为观礼嘉宾，请来了老Tony献唱蓝调。毕竟，这不应该是件悲伤的事，虽然早上不能够在看到Katie了，但是美国人民可以晚上转台去CBS看她，呵呵，我呢......她现在应该有机会上Letterman的节目了，呵呵
 
节目在6点钟结束，终于可以静下心来完成作业的收尾工作了，到10点，结束和国际象棋的鏖战，终于可以休息了......2小时之后，新的一天正是开始了......
